We are hiring an Ongrowing Site Manager in Hafnir (Iceland), whose main focus is ensuring the production of sole, meeting all KPIs withing Stolt Sea Farm standards, guaranteeing a committed team. The Ongrowing Site Manager reports directly to Sole Production Manager and has a team of 6-8 people in the production.

The main objectives of the Ongrowing Site Manager are:

1) To achieve the monthly and annual production KPI´s of fish, based on an agreed planning with the staff members and in coordination with upper management.

2) To guarantee fish welfare

3) To guarantee a good work environment, based in safety, cooperation, trust and compromise

4) To identify improvements with the aim of increasing production capacity and efficiency.

Among the tasks to be carried out are the following:

· Management of the ongrowing site to achieve the production KPI. This implies a full knowledge of the biological budget and being able to respond to any deviation throughout the year. In order to be able to achieve this, it is important to maintain a tight alliance with upper management.

· Carry out a weekly and monthly planning, in order to fulfill the following:

a) Juvenile inputs.

b) Space management to achieve optimal production.

c) Grading in accordance with the Stolt Sea Farm standards.

d) Harvest in line with the planning with upper management.

e) Cleaning of tanks and ongrowing areas

f) Sanitary treatments planned, in line with upper management.

g) Stock management of feed, chemicals and other auxiliary materials

h) etc.

· Planification of the monthly and annual fish input with upper management.

· Maintained a correct relationship with other departments (Hatchery, Maintenance, Operations...)

· Planification of the work staff schedule

· Overseeing how the farm works in line with SSF standards and health and security protocols;

· Maintain meetings with foreman to ensure and facilitate a correct relationship and communication with the team;

· Maintain formal and informal meetings with the staff for keeping a work environment of respect, collaboration and compromise.

· Promote a work philosophy of continuous improvement in all the aspects of ongrowing area

In order to meet the objectives, the person who joins must have technical training in Aquaculture or a University Degree in animal sciences: Biology, Marine Sciences, Veterinary Medicine, or similar degrees. In regards with experience, the person must have 2 to 4 years of experience in fish production, especially in land-based aquaculture. It is highly valued that the person also has experience in the production of sole.

High level of expertise in Excel is required for the position, and fluency in English and/or Icelandic.

He or she should have well-developed leadership and team management skills and be able to work in a team. Be proactive and disciplined with an open mind to create solutions regarding very different scenarios and be highly organized professional.
