Role title:  Purchasing coordinator (frozen fish)

Department: Commercial department

Reporting to: Commercial director

Purpose of the role: Identification, negotiation, acquisition of comprehensive information and purchasing of the frozen fish stocks for further sales to customers around the globe.

End value product of the role: Wholesale frozen fish lots, purchased at the right time of harvesting period at the best possible price and delivery conditions, clearly checked with regards to quality, and timely transferred to the sales department.

Key result areas manager:

• Creation of comprehensive supplier databases for different species of the frozen fish
• Establishing and maintenance the relationships with suppliers
• Contribution to the global awareness about the company as the reliable partner
• Identification of the possible tradable frozen fish lots according to basic principles of seasonality, scarcity, general availability and logistical proximity.
• Daily preparation of the inquires for the raw material purchases
• QC standards (technical sheets) database creation (by supplier)
• Reference pictures database creation (by supplier)
• Raw sales offer creation (in a particular form)
• Coordination of the pre-shipment inspections by the agents or self-inspection of the questionable lots.
• Continuous frozen fish market assessment
• Weekly and daily communication with the sales department for price list preparation and update.

• Dropbox / E-Mail – advanced user
• English – verbal / writing/business language - advanced level
• Russian – verbal / writing/business language - advanced level
• Microsoft Word / Excel - experienced user
• INCOTERMS 2010

Additional knowledge:

• Spanish or any Nordic language is an advantage
• Mentality understanding / business ethics code (Asia / Europe / Latin America)
• Various financial tools payments for deliveries (letter of credit, factoring, payment delays, payment insurance, working capital loans)

• In-depth understanding of the industry
• Knowledge of documents requirements of the key markets
• Knowledge of the logistics, warehousing and forwarding practices of the key markets
• Advanced negotiation skills, techniques of effective purchasing
• Advanced interpersonal skills, for favorable personal relationships with suppliers

• Plan purchasing activities weekly, monthly, yearly
